How did you get your PSC nickname?
6'3" 240lb. Buck from last name.
What is your real name and age?
Brad B. 44
Where are you from and what do you like best about being there?
Australia. Beer, Barbeques, Beaches...
What do you do to keep the bills paid?
Shop Teacher
What do you do in your spare time?
What spare time?
How did you find PSC, and what do you like most about the site?
Googling stuff.
If you could change one thing at PSC, what would it be and why?
Chop off Anfa's, Rey's and Marco's fingers! ;)
Is there any other information about you would like to pass on?
...other than the fact that I'm devastatingly good looking....nah.
How many hours per week do you spend on PSC?
Ummm....
What other sites, not Photoshop related, do you like to surf?
A bit of computer stuff. Some woodworking sites.
What tools do you use to chop?
Vista, Mouse, Wacom Tablet, switch between a few different graphics progs.
What gets your creative juices flowing, how do you create a masterpiece?
I've got no particular method. I just mess around until a good idea pops up.
What inspires you?
Churning out something funny...something that will give people a giggle.
Do you have a system? Does a chop have to be done a certain way following steps or are you a messy chopper and just go with the flow?
Often I have an idea and just go with it, but sometimes I've tenaciously stuck with this idea and wasted several hours on an image I am just not prepared to post. Sometimes I have tons of half-finished chops on my comp....or one's i wasn't really happy to post.
What style of chop do you prefer to create?
I like all source manips. I love funny stuff and I enjoy making gifs. I try (often unsuccessfully) to post something that is a little different. Not the obvious take on a source.
Filters, brushes and techniques: Which do you use, and not use, and why?
I'm not fussy, I'll use anything.
When do you know that you have it just right, or is it constant changes up until, or after, you post?
I never really know if I manage to get it 'just right'. I dither a bit and edit preposts often when I see faults.
What is the limit to what you will chop?
I'm no good at blood. I'm not very religious. I don't mind a bit of gratuitous cleavage though...
Are there any tips and/or tricks that you would like to pass along to less experienced choppers?
Gaussian Blur. Whether it be for movement, foreground/background focus or to soften edges on something pasted.
What is your favorite type of source image, and why?
I like a clean, large single object the best. Something that allows for a good manipulation.
There is often talk about how the source is used and to what extent it should be. What are your views on all sources, outside source use and animations?
Use what you like. I don't discriminate. I love a good image....I don't care if it's all source, ani or what.
What is your preferred resource for outside source images?
Dig Camera, Google, Stock Exchange, etc. Google mainly I suppose.
In your opinion what makes a good chop?
Imagination, Impact, Humour, Thinking outside the box
Do you have a system to get things started?
Coffee
Have you ever completed a chop and then decided not to enter it in the contest? If so, why?
Yep. Several times. Just not happy with it.
After you finish your chop do you just post it or seek opinions of family and/or fellow choppers first?
I usually just post, but sometimes I show Sean, Andy, Sci, Eve, Blurks or whoever is in chat.
If some one finds a fault in your work do you change it or stay with what you posted?
Sometimes....and BTW someone is one word, not two. Are you going to change it or stay with it? ;)
What qualities do you look for when deciding to vote on a chop?
I think I'm starting to look at posts a bit more critically these days. I like to see good edgework, lighting, shadows and such.
Some member prefer not to vote for filtered chops or animations. Is there any particular style/type of chop you won't vote for?
Not really. I vote for stuff I like. I've got no problems with filters being used tastefully in parts of a chop. I just love gifs too. I'm sure some people don't realise the work that can go into a good gif. I won't vote for really rough cut and pastes and I'm not too fussed on those kaliedoscope looking chops either.
Time is always a factor, how much time do you spend on a chop and how much time is too much?
I can't honestly say. Too much time mostly. I'm a bit of a ditherer.
We all love to get votes. Now are you a constant vote checker or do you just let it go and check once a day? (be honest)
At least once a day.
What chop of yours did not do as well as you expected?
Several! Too many to list. I've had some real disappointments at PSC...but by the same token, I've had some pleasant surprises too. I don't think I'll ever figure it out.....but that's all part of the fun. I suppose I expected this one might have gotten a place http://photoshopcontest.com/view-entry/110859/cry-fowl.html
Maybe this one too http://photoshopcontest.com/view-entry/122471/cutout.html

What do you NOT like to see in a chop, and why not?
I haven't really seen anything here that distresses or upsets me.
What is the best chop of all time?
