Good savings, part time jobs, wife has great job, rob banks and old people.

Can't remember how I found it, probably a search when I started to learn. The entries are always interesting and the vibe is positive

Keep Al from submitting plane sources. Ha

How many hours per week do you spend on PSC?
Not sure but I usually do a chop or two a day. Great hobby.

What tools do you use to chop?
Photoscape X, Dynamic Auto Painter, FotoSketcher, Pixel PhotoEditor, Lightroom. I would like to master the blending options, levels actions, patterns etc. better
What gets your creative juices flowing, how do you create a masterpiece?
I look through tutorials for inspiration. Not to necessarily copy them, but to get new ideas and techniques. I have a large Ideas folder.
What inspires you?
i find pictures and save them. Use them to form my own ideas. Pabst Blue Ribbon helps
Do you have a system? Does a chop have to be done a certain way following steps or are you a messy chopper and just go with the flow?
What style of chop do you prefer to create?
All the above. It helps to separate the subject and rotate it. B&W pictures are the best because they have more drama, but rarely get votes. I love cartoonish chops.

When do you know that you have it just right, or is it constant changes up until, or after, you post?
That's hard to say, but I am never 100% satisfied.

In your opinion what makes a good chop?
Did the picture grab my initial attention? Are the cutouts smooth and the blending accurate? Is it an "outside the box" entry. PSers are creative so their idea is almost always unique.
Do you have a system to get things started?
Usually select the subject, cut it out and start playing with it. Wait for inspiration. U usually try to see what others are doing and try not to copy it. Can't do that with advantage though.
Have you ever completed a chop and then decided not to enter it in the contest? If so, why?
Yes, it was crap.
After you finish your chop do you just post it or seek opinions of family and/or fellow choppers first?
Just post it.
If some one finds a fault in your work do you change it or stay with what you posted?
Both, but the comments are almost always helpful.
What qualities do you look for when deciding to vote on a chop?
Did it grab my initial attention; overall look, in the idea, the execution then the technique.
Some member prefer not to vote for filtered chops or animations. Is there any particular style/type of chop you won't vote for?
I usually don't vote for animated GIFs. Could be a separate contest for those. I've never learned how to do it.
Time is always a factor, how much time do you spend on a chop and how much time is too much?
No less than an hour, sometimes several. But sometimes you just gotta stop.

I keep up with the voting even though winning is not my goal. I get a ton of satisfaction just doing the process. Staves off the Alzheimer's
