How did you get your PSC nickname?
I used to love playing hunting video games (still do every great once in a while), one of which was Cabela's Big Game hunter. I was obsessed with big game. And I was 13 years old when I first created my online username. You do the math. ;)

What is your real name and age?
Seth - 20-something

Where are you from and what do you like best about being there?
Amish Country, Ohio. All the horse crap on the roads. :P

What do you do to keep the bills paid?
Graphic Design

What do you do in your spare time?
Hang with friends and Family, Music, Spikeball, sometimes none of the above.

How did you find PSC, and what do you like most about the site?
Just did a google search for Photoshop contest websites. I love how everyone is helpful to one another.

If you could change one thing at PSC, what would it be and why?
It needs more activity, more users, more participation! It needs more hay for it's day!

Is there any other information about you would like to pass on?
I have a few music videos up on youtube. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and "Awesome God." Check 'em out if you care to. :) Youtube-search the song title and put my name after it. They should be the top search results that pop up.

How many hours per week do you spend on PSC?

What other sites, not Photoshop related, do you like to surf?

What tools do you use to chop?
MacBook Air, or a Mac desktop. And, of course, Photoshop. Tried Gimp just a little, way back, as a starter. But if you can at all help it, do not use gimp. lol it's cumbersome.

What gets your creative juices flowing, how do you create a masterpiece?

What inspires you?
Other people's great art and my Christian faith.

Do you have a system? Does a chop have to be done a certain way following steps or are you a messy chopper and just go with the flow?
I always have an end goal in mind before I start a chop, and a fairly rough idea of how I should go about completing it. If I know I'll need stock imagery, I almost always find the right ones first before I start. My actual chopping method is probably more on the messy side. I like to go through my layers afterward and group them in an organized way. Also, smart objects are my friend.

What style of chop do you prefer to create?
All source chops are always fun. I've tried a couple perspective changes. Those are fun as well. Really any kind of chop, if it doesn't rely too heavily on external sources.

Filters, brushes and techniques: Which do you use, and not use, and why?
I often use a subtle gradient map or photo filter adjustment layer blended into the entire image towards the end of my chop to give it a more unified color.

When do you know that you have it just right, or is it constant changes up until, or after, you post?
I chop till I like it. Usually I post it, come back to it, see more changes that should be made, and update if I have the time.

What is the limit to what you will chop?
I will not make a chop with sexual content, or one that disrespects God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit.

Are there any tips and/or tricks that you would like to pass along to less experienced choppers?
If you want to chop better, focus on improving your selections, light adjustments, shadows, and perspective adjustments. Observe the real world around you and how these different elements react with one another. And chop a ton.

What is your favorite type of source image, and why?
Anything high-res and clearly defined.

There is often talk about how the source is used and to what extent it should be. What are your views on all sources, outside source use and animations?

What is your preferred resource for outside source images?
Often Pixabay.com

In your opinion what makes a good chop?
If your first impression is "wow!", then it's a good chop, even if you find minor flaws upon closer inspection. Attention to detail separates good chops from great chops.

Do you have a system to get things started?
Look at source image. Get an idea. Get a better idea. Get an even better idea [This step is optional ;)]. Decide what stock imagery I'll need (if any). Find those images and download them into a folder with the source image. Start chopping.

Have you ever completed a chop and then decided not to enter it in the contest? If so, why?
Nope.

After you finish your chop do you just post it or seek opinions of family and/or fellow choppers first?
Just post it.

If some one finds a fault in your work do you change it or stay with what you posted?
Change them if I have time.

What qualities do you look for when deciding to vote on a chop?
Good idea + Good execution / or, best in show if I don't see those qualities in a chop in any given contest.

Some member prefer not to vote for filtered chops or animations. Is there any particular style/type of chop you won't vote for?
Chops with sensual innuendo. Just, no.

Time is always a factor, how much time do you spend on a chop and how much time is too much?
If I have a lot of time, probably around 3-4 hours. Quicker chops that I've posted here probably have taken 45 minutes to an hour.

We all love to get votes. Now are you a constant vote checker or do you just let it go and check once a day? (be honest)
Constant. I check way too much lol.

What chop of yours did not do as well as you expected?
Several. It's life.

What do you consider your best chop so far?
Probably the "Restoration Project" chop? Idk.

What do you consider your worst chop so far?
The Underwater Life chop with the bugs. Just boring.

Who is your favorite chopper out there and why?
Claf and Sjitske. If you can find one of Claf's old PSD files that's still downloadable, do it. And prepare to be amazed.

What do you NOT like to see in a chop, and why not?
Dumb stuff. Because it's dumb.

What is the best chop of all time?
One of Claf's or Sjitske's. Nuff said.

Do you have any other PSC related comments to add?
This is a PSC related comment.
