Okay, here's a possible trick to continue researching:

As you scan through the list of cockles, page by page, pay attention to repeating names. I don't mean like "TofuThe___" or "Wood/i/e." Cockle names that repeat but end with different, "random" numbers. I haven't won against all of the "Bod the dog" ones, for instance, nor have I won big, but when I have won, the cockle is nowhere to be found if I look through for it again. Genesis, Daisy, Spoone... there are several. Let's see if we can figure this out further for more wins.

Again, here's how it goes : the names containing numbers generally are computer generated, non playing caracters (NPCs). Their stats aren't as good as regular players. That means if you find high leveled NPCs that have low health, they can be beat even if you are only level 15 or something and the chances are you will get a lot of gold from those.

Don't be afraid to fight NPCs that are around level 500.

Give up on beating a certain cockle if you fought it more than four times in the same day, because when you finally beat it, it will give you no experience points.

Find NPCs that are about the same rank as you are and that have lots of healt points if you want to gain experience. ( # cockle healt points = # experience points you gain )
