Hello All
I ll be joining Team Garrity for the MS Walk in Clinton, CT this April 22. We will be walking for our own CFO, Dave, who was just diagnosed with MS. Beet, thank you for supporting the MS Walk. We had our MS Walk in Nashville last week. My mother was diagnosed with it 6 years ago.

Multiple Sclerosis. It's a muscular and neurological degenerative disease where the body produces antibodies that attack the myelin (sp?) sheath of the spinal cord. There is no known cause nor cure. Basically, it's a long, slow, painful disease, and it's very difficult to get a confirmed diagnosis. My mom visited so many doctors and neurologists for 3 years before 2 of them decided to get a CT scan of her spine. That's when it was confirmed for her.

the scarey thing is anyone can get it no matter how healthy ya believe ya are. our cfo, dave, is very active. swam the english channel(in england  ) couple of times, gets up at 5am everyday to go swim before work, active bicyclist, etc.

Just saw, last night, that Teri Garr has MS. She's wheelchair bound. 
For those that don't know who she is; she's an American actress. She was in Mr. Mom, Tootsie, heck a lot of other movies and TV shows.
