Mandrins, to be exact.

Not Mandrins from CHINA, but those "holiday" fruits.

Not those "holiday" fruits from Straight Eye, but the ones you get at the grocery store this time of year - usually in a soggy old box with each piece of fruit individually wrapped by some Very Poor Person in the outbacks of Australia.



Myself, I like to do the "elephant" peel.
My fiance likes to do it backwards - 'nuff said.

How do YOU peel?

I quess if you've been housebound long enough in snow bound canada anything would seem interesting. Otherwise you would go insane!

Everyone is talking about MY mandrins.

I want to hear about YOUR mandrins. And how you peel them. That is why I called the thread the thing I called it. If I had wanted a general free-for-all regarding MY mandrins I would have called this thread "NOW LET's TALK ABOUT REINman's MANDRINS". But, you may note, I DID NOT call this thread by that title.

Please, as invited earlier, talk amoungst yourselves (regarding YOUR PEELING TECHNIQUES!)

So, my Xmas Journeys begin EARLY on the 'morrow. I shall have intermittant email and internet access... but I don't know where and when. It will be a RENEGADE XMAS for ReinMan and his lovely bride... slogging it through the mountains of northern Washington State and into the Wild and Forlorn Great Interior of British Columbia itself.

So, at this time - as I nod into my eggnogg, I will say this:

MAY ALL YOU, my wonderf PSC Peeps, have a WONDERFUL HOLIDAY - may whatever you Pray and / or Hope for come to you, and may your hearts find compassion for others, understanding for yourselves, and last but not leastly: may all your mandrins peel in one easy piece and not in those torn and ripped bits and pieces that make such a mess when you leave them on the arms of your couch.
