Anyone have any favorite sources for free pictures that can be used without copyright infringement?

me and my fugi fine pix s9600,
but to be honest, when hours of google looking wont give you what you are looking for, it's usualy in your own hands or house, or garden, maybe local district, if yo live in a desert zone and need a polar bear pic, i sugest you go to http://www.gettyimages.com/

Cool. So, correct me if I'm wrong, but if you find an image on a free stock photo website like the ones you listed, you can use that photo without being required to ask permission first, right? (not that asking is bad, but sometimes you're in a rush!)

I'm just a little anal about not accidentally stealing other people's work.

Correct. Read the terms of the license for each image. You should cite the license and the creator in your entry note. Something like this:

Ah, yes. I tried a search, but nothing happened, so I posted this thread. But just now I tweaked my security settings and tried again, and it works fine.
