I created an 17"hx11"w sign layout for a show my company is attending in Vegas. Now they want the sign to be more "squarish" (12"hx10"w instead of standard portrait orientation we now have). So I thought I'd just rotate the canvas and move the elements around.

'Cept I don't know how to do that in Illustrator.

I tried to RTFM (a.k.a. help file) on this before posting. How do I either rotate the work area or change the "canvas" size? I don't know the terms in illustrator so I don't know what to look up.

I find the new "multiple artboard" feature in AI CS4 rather confusing, a bit like a gimmick workaround for the lack of real 'multiple pages' feature

But see size does matter!

Actually, it isn't too bad once you "grok" it. Not as clean and straightforward as InDesign, but if you are doing something like a double-sided flyer it is THE cat's arse.
