Yes. I used to do catalog work for bloomingdales. Not Photography, but I retouched it all.

Yep did some only a few months ago, had to make a ligth box to do it as well, got good results...well they paid me da money so It could not be all that bad.

I have not shot jewelery, but I have shot and made a lightbox for small products with fantastic results. I have shot prods for 3 different companies.

Nope. But I did it for a year. Hundreds of images. I never saved any because it was not that interesting to me.

All the golds had to be consistent.
Shadows were consistent. Flesh tones were very specific too.
Lot's of montage work. Mostly silo's, color corrections, Removing color cast and outside reflections that effect the color. and shadow work. Fashion work when there was a model.
Notice all the silvers look the same.

They were very picky.
They would actually send us all the jewelery to swatch match.

i lost most of my raws, but these are 2 of my functionals..

Im no pro, dont claim to be, but scissors are a pain in the ass to shoot because of their rounded edges. Also, my box (which takes up more room than blurks..lol) and 1 raw photo, no processing, only resized.
