like all of a sudden a while ago it happened. i was typing something and i pressed the period key.. and the period poped in at the begining of the line here's what it looks like

i just tryed to type "this..." normaly but it comes out like that vv

i also tryed typing GAH!!! but you can c how it comes out
if i want the period to appear in the right spot, at the end of the sentence, i have to type it before i type the sentence. this applys to all puncuation !@#$%^&*()_+<>?,./\|[][]" ':;

nope, my keyboard rocks tho, it's wireless! so is my mouse, but no lol theyr not french

My advice would be to open up the character window in photoshop (Window>Character), hit the little right pointing arrow in the top right-hand corner of the character window, then choose RESET CHARACTER. Then click on the Paragraph tab at the top and do the same (RESET PARAGRAPH).

I usually take a swing at the monitor, that usually solves most of my computer and non-computer problems because your hand hurts so bad you forget what you were mad about.

omit punctuation nobody reads them anyway

I would give Stu's idea a try. Sometimes resetting the preferences is the remedy for a bucketload of PS ailments. Simply close Photoshop, then reopen it holding down the Shift-ctrl -alt keys. After the program opens you might want to go into the "edit" menu and change some settings under the menu tab- preferences. There will be no setting for the problem, you have mentioned, but you might have had other settings like grid line colors etc,. that you had previously set, and now want to restore.
