This is not a voting pattern complaint/comment so relax. This is merely an idea about the way a vote is cast. Currently to vote you first enter a comment, or not, then click to toggle it to vote instead of comment, then hit submit. Because of this a lot of times I see comments like "meant to vote the first time" etc. and that is only when the person realizes there mistake. My idea is to dump the "vote, comment" radio buttons and submit button for two buttons labeled "vote" and "comment". A visual representation can be seen below. Any thoughts?

The current way has been used a long time, but that would actually be a positive change and a time saver in the ling run. One less click!
Nice presentation aw8pj, how does a $5k a year raise sound?

Thanks Reinman, and point well taken about the name. I have thought about condensing it down to the very simple 8, but I know how frowned upon alias's are around here and I would hate to get blackballed (or blueballed for that matter)

Good idea aw.
The only other thing I might add, is to increase the gap between the two buttons to prevent accidental clicks on one rather than the other...
