and as far as time working on an entry, 2 hours sounds super fast to me. I'm usually up all hours of the night doing 'em. With Advantage I may start days in advance and work on an entry a bit at a time. I had 3 ideas for the UPC, but all way too complicated and I was exhausted and then saw there are over 60 entries, so just decided to skip this one and get some sleep.

I vote right up until the last few hours on contests, too. I never use all my votes in one shot or one day even. A lot of artists don't even get their entries in til the last day and I like to give them a chance to get them in before I use all my votes.

With 67 entries and it being a prize contest, I'd say 8 votes is a lot. You don't get as many votes during a prize contest than you would in a regular one, unless it's clearly the winning entry.

Wow... that's exactly how I chop / vote (when I do either)!

And I agree with nyxxie--voting does tend to be lower--and later--in anon contests unless it's a clear eye-catching winner.

speaking of time spent on entries - remember the other night about 12:50AM that we were chatting Eve? Well I didn't get entry #1 put in until an hour or so later and couldn't get Image Ready to make the 2nd gif file - it was refusing! Went to bed at 5:45AM, woke up at 1PM and started on that 2nd entry again trying to get it to work...

so don't cry to me Argentina, about a measly 2 hours!
