Stupid question, but does anyone know why my computer's clock (you know, in the bottom right corner, using Windows) would keep reverting to an hour behind?
Anytime I have to turn off/restart the computer, the clock keeps going back to regular time, not daylight savings, or whatever.
It isn't anything of major importance in life, but it sure is annoying!

Have you tried turning the internet time synchronization off? It's in the 3rd tab.
Thx for the smaller sig btw.

I thought that would help keep me on time... I just turned it off, I'll see if it helps.
Thanks!

Splodge..you rock!! Wherever you are.
I keep checking the obituaries to see if my name is there. If it's not, then I figure I'm ok.

- Make sure the Date is correct in the 1st tab (the one with the clock). Do not adjust the clock.
- Go to the 2nd tab (Time Zone). Make sure you've set up your timezone correctly. Note that (GMT -06:00) Central Time (US & Canada) is not the same as (GMT -06:00) Central America.
- Turn ON the Daylight Savings adjustment box.
- Go to the 3rd tab and sync again.

The daylight savings is checked, and I have the right time zone selected....

Copy/paste from elsewhere on the web
First, go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com and make sure you are fully patched. You can use the custom option if you want to exclude Internet Explorer 7.
Install all the patches, reboot and go back until there are no more high priority updates to be installed.
Once you are patched, double-click the clock down in the system tray. Go to the Time Zone tab and select any time zone other than the one you are in. Click apply. Then set it back to your time zone and make sure the check box that says "Automatically adjust clock for daylight saving changes" is checked, and click apply.
You should see your system clock has now changed to the correct time.

Silly question but how old is the computer? Any chance the CMOS battery could be dying?
