Cheers sonic, I thought on this for a long time and was sure I didn't want to do another altered landscape, which seems to be the common thread in this comp. I chipped the mountains out and flipped rotated colored stretched and suddenly saw teeth.

Other than the bg image there wasn't too much change beyond contrast and darkness and some twisting. Then I added shading and the blood.
