like all others said, just cut a bit of underline from boats, so it looks like they are deeper in water, and yes replace the sincking ship. remove text, welcome a board .

Original idea, however, seting the lifeboats on top of the water and keeping the full hull visible is not correct. It screams cut and paste. They need to be sitting IN the water and then some appropriate shadows added.
