Grats, Gummy! I estimate the sun to be at about 11:45 and intense. IMHO, the cast shadows should be tight and dark. The majority of your subjects lack contact shadows, without which your subjects will appear to float regardles of the cast.

The one with the green helmet is suppose to be "Floating", thus a more feathered shadow because it is further away from it's source. I believe that a longer shadow will get more edge feathering, transparency and blur.
