Once upon a time in a small meadow there stood a stone wishing well. Every day the people of the near by village would come to it to draw its water for there needs. Every so often a person would throw in a copper penny along with a wish hoping that the well was magic.
One day a little gnome name Gram was sitting by the well when such a person came by. Her name was Lora and with her coin she wished that her true heart's desire Fredick would fall in love with her. Gram shook his head in shame, how could these creatures think that throwing a coin in the well would be magic? He waited until he saw lora leave and he climbed up on till the edge of the well. He peered inside and saw a frog sitting on one of the rocks, in his mouth was a shinny coin. "Good morning frog!" Gram said with a smile. "Ribbit, good day gnome, good day!" said the frog with the coin still glistening in his mouth. "What will you be doing with the coin frog?" asked gram as he peered in closer. "Oh I have no use for this, infact I was going to spit it out! the bottom of this well is littered with these coins and I really do not want to put up with this litter anymore!" The frog hopped up on to the ledge and spit the coin out on to the ground. "you can keep the metal if you like! It would be doing me and my family a big favor!" Gram looked at the coin shinning in the dirt. He had no use for it that he could think of, but he decided that he would take it back to his home just in case his wife had a place for it. "Thank you frog, I'll take this back home and see what the misses thinks of it." With that gram waved goodbye and dropped down to pick up the token.
