hard to say without seeing the source and knowing how much work went into it. The only thing I'd mention is that the apple is too fuzzy compared to the sharp contrast of the leaves around it.

Fixed that. I guess it looks better, and the source is just some leaves and a different apple. That apple is extracted from the original and the bite added in.

Since you asked, the Apple is floating in mid-air. no stem to keep it in the tree. Either that or a motion blur to indicate it was falling is needed :) other than that, its color full, and your eyes are drawn to the bite mark which is good.

Actually the stem is on the other side of the apple attached to the tree above, but i totally see what you mean its easy to confuse

one other comment...right above the bitemark is a rather scorching patch of fluorescent yellow and orange...might want to tone it down a bit.
