I couldn't figure out how to adjust the lighting/color on the camera to make it seamless with the soldier/pilot. Anyone got any tips or suggestions?

Yes.. try: Image > Adjustments > Match color and or Image > Adjustments > Brightness and contrast ;)

Looks like this weak effort will be my first no-vote entry :-( But at least I learned techniques for color adjustment, color replacement, and skew/distort for perspective! YIPPEE!!
