How did you get your PSC nickname?
The kids I teach at school frequently call me *rashdog*. I don't particularly care for it, but when I signed up for PSC I was at school and someone suggested it. Before I knew it, it had stuck here too...
What is your real name and age?
Chris.
I was born in 1965. (You do the math so I don't have to keep updating this...)
Where are you from and what do you like best about being there?
South Carolina...great place to kayak (gotta watch the alligators, though...)
What do you do to keep the bills paid?
I’m a high school teacher. My degrees are all in English but I teach journalism and a computer ethics class.

What gets your creative juices flowing, how do you create a masterpiece?
When I don’t have any ideas, I look at the winning entries of other members. Another thing I do is just start cutting out some part of the picture. Usually in the middle of using the pen tool, a bright light will shine directly above me and a deep, robust voice will announce what the image should look like. Most of the time, though, I will start with one idea only to have it become something completely different by the end. I’m used to that though. I am usually asking myself how can I make this picture even better?
What inspires you?
Usually colors and shapes are my inspiration. I like source images that have lots of textures in them...I like to see other possibilities in the sources.
Do you have a system? Does a chop have to be done a certain way following steps or are you a messy chopper and just go with the flow?
