damn, yesterday i made her competely out of chocolate and it looked realy good! but i was not finished and returned to my pc this morning... she did not survived the night in the sun.....

When you start an image you have to remember that statues are made from one stone.
The stone is usually the same tone throughout. In other words the pants are not going to be darker in the sculpture than the face. The eyes should also be the same tones.
See example:

His robe, eyes, face, etc., are all the same tone. So we need to select the darker parts of our image and bring them closer to the tone of the flesh. (after desaturating her)

Now we need to airbrush over the eyes (give them shape) and the flower details. Also need to pull weight out of the hair and eyebrows.

Then we can add texture and grain.

We need to add weight to the sneakers, they are too light.
You get the idea now. Take it and run with it. Use different texture overlays. Marble, cement, etc. Add bird poop, mold, stains, graffiti, whatever. Have fun!!

Very nice Wendy. Now make it your own. Dodge and burn some shape back into it. Do a search online for a nice stone texture or marble (try a nice marble) and put it on its own layer over your statue and set it to multiply, or overlay, or whatever looks nice.
Other tricks: I also smudge out any tiny details that you would not be able to carve into stone. (lose the long strands of hair)
The beginning steps of making everything the same tone is the same for a gold statue or bronze or whatever. Great job! Keep going with it.

whooohooo, i made a statue that looks like a statue. i'm pretty happy with it, what do you think Rey? I wasn't sure about where to dodge and burn (still learning those tools) so i just tried a bit, and i took the hair out of her face.

Mikey, Ive been watching your updates. Looking good. I think I liked it better before the last update. Those flares of light are a little distracting. I like the base. Try making the changes that I mention in the Tut. (lighten the jeans, hair, and eyebrows) Smooth out details with the smudge tool. Airbrush over the flower pattern.
