Okay by now everyone seems to know that 'Zen was banned. Then "criticizor" (or similar spelling) appeared and suddenly disappeared. I'm not the only one to think that they were one in the same person.

But I want, nay I need, to know why 'Zen was banned. I didn't care for 'Zen's constant griping about not being in the top 3 every contest but is that a bannable offense?

The only "no-no's" I know of are posting pr0n and plaguerizing others work as your own (unless it's an obvious joke like what the member "the_plagerizer" does.. Are there other mortal PSC sins that we should be aware of?

I'd like to know what gets people banned so that I don't do it myself.

He went nuts after not getting into the H2H.

people talk tofu, and from what i heard he went nuts when he couldn't be in the H2H. Seems he deleted his entire portfolio and said things about psc that probably could not be said... but that's what i heard. I have no idea if that is the truth.

It would be nice though to hear what can't be said or done here so we all learn from this and make sure it doesn't happen again. I think nobody here want's a ban.

I don't think the general public needs to know everything that goes on here. Sometimes things are better left unsaid. If you are worried about being banned, then just keep acting the way you've been acting for however long you've been here. If you go nuts and start affecting others on the site, then chances are you are a candidate for banning.

If you need to know why specifically he was banned, can you not just send a PM to JMH and get the story straight from the horses mouth?

As far as "mortal sins", I think you've named them. But some situations have to be dealt with on a one-to-one basis and weighed when the situation comes up.

wellm besides the fact that he was mentally unstable, he made 2-3 new threads a week about pretty much the same topic. Maybe JMH got tired of having his server space filled with extra rubbish.

Actually this is where the "to a point" comes in from above. I guess I should've been more concerned about actions and not actions of a specific person. To hear that he went nuts is good enough explaination. I'm nuts but I don't GO nuts.



The topic came to mind last night whilst discussing the H2H with Mrs. Tofu. She suggested that I should create a rather adult-only chop from the bananas and I told her that type of entry wasn't allowed. Got me to thinking about ban-able offenses and then it rolled over to 'Zen's situation.

I know that there's levels of warning. I've had a forum post pulled with a mod's post that basically said "don't do that". Others I know got PMs of a sterner nature in the past (Morbid comes to mind). So I wanted to know if there was a line between what will get you warned and what will get you immediately banned. I don't think I'd ever do something that bad (I hope).

In the end you're correct. If I want to know about Zen's specifics I should PM those in the know. But general questioning is still okay for forum posting (imho).
