I know some of you guys do photography and want to know if you have any suggestions for a camera bag.
I dont have much gear cause I dont have much money, so it doesnt need to be big.
I have looked at the tamrac expedition 3 and it looked good

I like to be sure my camera is gonna be adequately padded all the way around.
I don't understand the backpack thing though-- if yer not hiking far enough to need a REAL backpack, then slinging a camera on yer back is useless....
yer not gonna have the camera in the bag, and having to pull a bag off yer back to get a
quick lense change to catch a shot? Over the shoulder bags work great-
small bag, don't carry around the lenses and other paraphenalia you know you aren't gonna use--- A roomy butt-pack will work nice, pulled around the front.

Where's yer tripod go in those bags?
There are great 'field tripods' that have just one leg and double as a walking stick--money much better spent than on a bag.

TBH I dont rate the monopod, prolly only works well if your leaning up against something. I have to admit i did buy one a while back, took it out and hated it, i will stick with my tripod.
As for a bag, well ive used the trackpack for well over a year and the straps are starting to show some signs of stress, but its been a worthwhile purchase, seeing as its with me most of 6 days a week. its with me at work rest and play.

do you actually ever wear that on yer back? Or sling it on a shoulder.
I like the monopod cause I shoot a lot of avians and can catch a shot
leaning on one leg, instead of the few seconds a tripod will cost me a shot--
I'd probly, hopefully change my opinion after i finally invest in some
AS lanses.

whatever you decide on, try to find it on eBay first....I bought a new lowpro backpack a year ago....from a dealer and got it for about half price

TBH ScionShade, the mono isnt really very stable for the lens i use the most, which is the CANON DIGITAL CAMERA LENS EF 70-200 F/2.8L

I did pay for a very long life battery and 1gigb card usually does it,
so the charger and all never go w/.

On the expedition there is a tripod holder on the back.
And with the monopod, it would be nice, but my camera has Image stabiization and i already have a tripod. So i guess thatll have to do for now.

I guess my thinking is with a backpack you can carry all your stuff to where youre gonna shoot, and then get your camera out and shoot.
And if you need a battery change,filter change, ect you just get it out off your back pack. I cold see messenger bags if you had lots of different lenses that you need to change quickly. But mine is fixed.

I have several bags I use depending what I'm doing/going.

If I want to cary everything with me I use a lowepro computrekker AW backpack. everything fits quite nicely and It's got a spot for laptops. I like to be prepared so I use this one a lot.

If I'm just out and about but dont want to carry a whole lot with me I use a Lowepro Toploader 65 AW . which is amazing. It's an all weather case, meaning it has a rain jacket built in that covers the case in heavy rain/snow. it's also very flexible and you can add extra cases to it. For example I have the 1S Lens Case that I can attach that case to my camera case when I want to. I also have Topload Zoom Chest Harness for when I'm biking.

I'm too poor to own a camera bag, but it would be kind of pointless anyways since I don't have a camera, but I voted for Domke because I like it. Domke..Dom-ke...heh...I would buy one of those...
