Hey guys.

I made a prepost that I edited to be 550x600px, as I thought that was the limit. I uploaded this image, but the uploaded image keeps showing up as 458x500px.

I've never had any trouble with resizing before. I thought maybe this was something new; but I see posts that are still 550px wide.

Is there something I'm missing?

no need to downsize. The source is 1280x960. Work on it at that size. Use save for web and get it under 512 and you're there! That's for Advantage users and I think you are, Goat...

(If your image is vertical make sure it's no larger than 960.)

...I wanted the final chop to be 550x600 as always, so I chopped it to this size. When I uploaded it, it downsized itself to 458 x 500.

It's also only 45kb.... when the image I uploaded was like 350kb.

Auto-resize has been on for a long time. Nothing you can do about it.

Just wait for the new site layout to come out, then your larger submission will be accessible... or so it has been told.

Conflicting information. My posts are 1280x960 at 72 dpi. Then I resample using Save for Web to get the file size under 512kb. So I'm not understanding the "In addition..." part.

Ahh. So now the max size that will be displayed is 550x500.

That's why it limited my image to 500px high.

...and now I understand why everyone has a "link to larger, higher-quality image" link. I was wondering why everyone was doing that.
