hi
i'm trying to upload my latest chop, and i cannot get it to be accepted. i've tried saving it at lower qualities (and so significantly lower than 125kb) but that hasn't worked
it has portrait orientation - i have tried reducing the original size of 651 x 841 to 600 x 775, 465 x 600, and 388 x 500, but it still won't accept it
is it possible to enter a portrait oriented pic when the rules say "The image must be no more than 800 pixels wide x 600 pixels high and no less than 500 wide x 350 high"??
any idea what i'm doing wrong?

OK...here's a little trick I do:
I always work at 1024x768...
Once completed I make the image 800x600...
I then save for web at 512kb...
I then upload the 800x600 and it automatically resizes...of course, I always post the larger version elsewhere.

i assume then from what i've said that i'm not doing anything that sounds wrong
maybe it's time to reboot, and if that fails, reinstall xp. never fails

you might want to try 'cheating', by adding borders to both sides, so you get a more landscaped orientation

This may be a dumb question, but is it a jpeg?
And when it's in the folder, hold your mouse on the picture, it should tell you how large the file is, what's it telling you?

oops yes i meant bytes
psc support recommend i change the image so it's wider than it is high. i'm a bit bemused by this. i've seen other submissions of portrait-oriented pictures, so it must be possible. and if it's not, that's just bizarre
so if you can enter portrait-oriented pics, what's your secret??
