what a pain!!!... anyone know how to open them in CS2... apperantly i'm supposed to be able to but i keep getting a "not the right kind of document" message.

I'd realy appeciate your help if you've got some. The adobe site is usless and is doing nothing for me.

this is going to sound stoopid... and it prob wont work... but have you tried just renaming the tag from .nef to .psd or .jpg?

have you tried using the "open as...." option in the file menu that maybe a get around

all i can really tell you is that they are similar to RAW files maybe check out adobe for RAW see if that helps

check out: http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/326616.html . looks like you need the camera raw update: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=39&platform=Windows .

Never heard of .nef files before but i'd try the plugin above. good luck Very Happy

found something else that says "You need to download and install the latest version of the Adobe Camera Raw plug-in"
