You would appreciate my little brother, he's the real musician in my family, check out the top of page 5 in this thread, my father was a good horn player in his day
Come on Peeps, I know you have a fave song/music video, we want to see it ![Shocked](images/smiles/icon_eek.gif)
Man it sure is.It`s the first time I´ve used it and am I glad I saved some video from those days, who would have imagined doing this back then.I don`t think internet existed ,¿Did it?.hehehe.You know I have a friend here in Spain his name is Len Stewart, well his father is Al Stewart the trumpet player whos played with bands like Benny Goodman and Duke Ellington.Ask your brother or your dad about Al Stewart he`s bound to know of him.Well he`s come here to Almuñecar to visit a few times and boy has he stories to tell..he`s been playing since 1938 and with all the big bands. And he still blow a bit.Thing is Len isn`t to musically inclined,he`s more into computer programing and such.I`ll check page 5 and load a couple more before I hit the hay as they say back in T.O. Cheers guys and enjoy the old stuff it`s still pretty good.

Paul Von Stetina wrote: Ever hear of a guy called Django Reinhardt? He was like Jaco, or even bigger in his day, back in the 40's, my father jammed with him in Paris @ 1943, it would be like you playing with Eric Clapton, that's how popular this guy was, his hands were deformed, and he could do things, no other guitar player could do, when my father was alive, he was saying that when they told him he was being shipped overseas for the war, all his buddies were like, man! you'll be able to see Django! Anyway, he not only saw him, but got to jam with him, my dad was a great trumpet player, here's a picture.

His Biography if you have time to go through it
First of all sorry about your dad ,didn`t know.My dad passed away just a couple of years ago.Wow it`s something else ,he actually played with Django. This guy was one of the first true jazz innovators to which many of the likes of George Benson today owe a lot.And yes he was handicapped in his left hand and still amazed his cotemporaries...Nice topic you got going here.Cheers man

Gnarls Barkley.
Really, really diggin' this one.
No particular musical style...jumps all over the place.
2 people who wanted to do an album together with no constraints...so they financed it themselves.
Screw the record companies!
Gone, Daddy, Gone... ![Cool](images/smiles/icon_cool.gif)

Last night, I went to see Zappa Plays Zappa. WOOOOOW!
Last night I was 16 again!
Napoleon Murphy Brock is amazing. I already saw Bozzio & Vai live before but to see them playing Zappa's music is unique.
They played only great masterpieces.
Here's some pictures I took with my new Canon I won here on PSC:
Dweezil & Pete Griffin
Terry Bozzio singing "I'm so cute"
Steve Vai solo
Vai & Zappa, Napoleon Murphy Brock in background
2 pictures of Bozzio on drums
The end!
