I watched this last night. I was totally expecting it to be a yawn fest. I avoid previews and reviews of movies that I plan to watch so had no idea that.... IT F***ING ROCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thoroughly recommend it...in spite of the fact that Gibson is a tosspot.
Oscars... Best Director..Best Picture...Best Actor in a leading role...and probably a slew of technicals.
One of the most entertaining films I've ever seen.

but seriously...I fancy seeing that fillum
oh.... Saw 3...OMG...I've never had such feelings of distaste apart from when a friend tricked me into watching a video of a russian soldier getting his windpipe cut.

.
I've been meaning to see that movie (Apocalypto). Is it as violent as they say?
My recommendation to you would be Pan's Labrynth. Brilliant.

I'd be interested in it (as well as in The Passion) because of the linguistic stuff, but I really thing Gibson is an ass and I don't like violence, so I'm bummed that I can't see it.

If Saw3 was a 10 for violence..then it would be a 3

I'm not big on soundtracks like some people, but I've heard snippets of the one from Apocalypto and it sounded beautiful! I'm rather tempted to buy it, actually. Not sure how it would fit in with a "violent" movie, though? Have not seen, nor will see Saw 3, but neither have I heard other complaints (or warnings) about Apolcalypto being overly violent, and the comments above pique my curiosity/concern... Anyway, good to hear that people saw Apocalypto and liked it! I'll put it on my list of movies to check out from the library next year.

Apocalypto.
What is that? A particularly powerful washing powder or drain cleaner, perhaps? A new comic-book enemy for Superman, Wonder Woman or Green Lantern?
