....and in the end all that matters in these contests is who is on the first page, if you're on the 2nd page, you're screwed, these voting patterns make me sick here, its popularity vs a good chop.. very dissapointed with today's contest.. I'm not complaining about low votes but where is my recognition of my work??

It really doesn't matter what page it is on, so long as you're here within the first few hours of the contest opening ....but you really need an X-factor to grab votes and peoples attention. Looking like the others will not land you top spot. I hope I'm not being too harsh.

Doesn't really matter about page placement most days...if ya got a good chop, ya got a good chop and people will eventually see that.

I have a similar entry today with another contestant, but there is a very big difference in our votes... i'm not saying its overvoted, i just don't get it...
I may be overreacting & people may not agree with what i say but things are pretty much like that... imho

Voting in the morning does tend to be more friendly I'll give you that, but by the afternoon, and even early the second day, the cream rises and the friendly votes tend to give way to real votes.

I'll admit I saw yours and dots and and I gave dot the vote for tweaking the image to match what was there... I'm not a big fan of pictures on the wall... had you just done the garden with the angels I think I would have voted for yours instead of hers... it was more of a 'my eye likes this better' maybe its the grandma wall paper? I don't know. Like I've said, the first votes from me are always... are my gut reactions to things.... so if I see 32457349 of the same thing.. I tend to not vote for many if any of them.

his is all source, and it looks real. but thats in my opinion. and art is subjective... lets all try to remember that. when you can chop for everyone, is when you win.

Dont worry about the votes! ~ you'll only get frustrated" the amount of votes you get doesn't reflect how good your work is around here most of the time" if they like it, they will vote for it regardless of the time and skill put into it. I know it sucks! but that's reality"
