Q1: How do we select the Image of the month?
A1: I'm open to suggestions. For March 2007 the ritchbitch is my personal favorite

Q2: Why jump the gun before the month is over?
A2: Because I wanted to see if this is going to work. If it works well I will harvest the images submitted from now until the end of the of the month and update the mosaic

Q3: I don't see my (insert date here) entry in the mosaic.
A3: There is no guaranteed placement. Some images that fit better may be repeated numerous times, some may be omitted.

for a suggestion for "image of the month" why don't you take the highest voted image for that month.

Dang, your computer must be really nice. Mine is decent, but it has trouble with a lot of images like the one you did there.

Very nice work and addition to the site.

For this particular mosaic I collected just the thumbnails from each contest ended in March (the 125 px images). I ended up with 1079 images so far. The mosaic setup was

tile size 125 px
60 tiles per row
107 rows
6420 tiles total.

Each tile can have up to 6 duplicated. The final image is 7463x9951 pixels which I resized 50% before posting. It took AndreaMosaic 1 minute 22 seconds on a Intel Core2 Duo E6600, 2GB RAM running Windows XP Pro to assemble the mosaic.

ah. your 2GB beats my 256MB. Thanks for the dimensions, though.
