whetever, i dont get the 6 chops vote idea....some of the winneings stuffs, some others have less votes for very multiple reasons....even sunday reasons....crashing site reasons etc... but i suppose its in the OTHER choice, which is evenmore quite not cool

As long as people will be willing to nominate pics (i.e. participate in a forum discussion) and then vote for one of 5 nominated - I'm all for it. I don't see much participation anyway - 38 total votes so far sounds a bit low. Last month I collected 42 votes total (of them 15 for anfa's 'Stop the Pigeon').

I quite agree with your personal favorite choice - not to self: may run into a bit of a pickle if a good GIF wins the Image of the Month Mosaic vote.

one last BUMP and I'm off to harvesting the images from last month. Still waiting for comments on improving the selection process.

I think the top 5 vote getters is fine. The "people" have spoken by placing their votes in the competition. The contests run for 3 days so if an image is on a Sunday, then folks have plenty of time to go back and vote.

I think it's clear that the favorite images of the folks on the site are the ones that get the most votes. I've seen entries from a Sunday do as well or better (votewise) as any other day of the week.

So, I say leave it as-is. If you have a favorite that's not in the top 5 vote getters, then create yourself 5 aliases and start voting more for your favorites...
