I was wondering if there's anybody on this forum who would be interested in coding for PSC.
I don't think there will be much work, but know a few things need attention. Hiring an outside programmer is not a problem if nobody is willing to do this.

I wanna do the following (inspired by showcase):
-Create team that will update the website on the technical side to meet end user needs
-discuss problems and create solutions in a private forum section
-suggest and provide new functionalities

To be able to join you need to have experience in at least PHP and MySQL and feel comfortable coding.
Let me know your thoughts.

I set up an apache server with php last year just to see if I could. Heh, I served files across the room to another computer through cox in Atlanta. I've scripted quite a bit of html. Regardless, I'd be willing to learn more and help if you need it.

I would be happy to provide positive feedback and words of encouragement to whomever is willing to do this.

I'm up on ASP/HTML/Javascript/VBScript and SQL but I'd have to do some learnin' on PHP (something I planned on anyway).

However I DO have the experience of being a programmer analyst by trade. I knows how tah do them thar specs fer any lingidge.

If you want my help let me know. If you wanna keep lean and mean with Tony 'tis cool! Cool

Cool Twisted Evil

ok, seriously, a developer team isn't quite what I was thinking. Too many people involved could get sticky. I humbly suggest you find 1 person willing to put in the effort. Otherwise, I can see all kinds of programming issues. IDK. There are a few already interested but too many fingers in the code and it will become a nightmare...errr...in my humble opinion.

anyway, should be interesting to see just who can satisfy Scion. Wink

I totally agree with you showcase. This is how I wanna do it:
Once something needs to be improved or fixed, a thread is created. whoever wishes to work on this problem will reply to the thread and will be the "team leader" for that specific problem. He/she can ask for help or input in that same thread. Others can help or provide solutions, but will require to work with the assigned team leader.

Show's right. Too many coders could muck things up. You end up stepping on people's work. I think a slightly different approach would be needed. Have one, no more than two, "official coders". Anyone else on the team would be for algorithm development, bug hunts, etc.

I know nothing of this stuff, but this idea sounds pretty stinking cool to me.
