I'm pretty new to CS2 or any photoshop for that matter I was thinking of uprageing to CS3 I got Cs2 from school. I was wondering would it be better to learn CS2 first then upgrade or get CS3 and start really learning from there?

I think CS2 has so much! to learn from, so I will not get CS3 for a while. but that's just my preference"

Is there a big diffence between CS2 and CS3 I use Poser 7 and the 3D feture in CS3 has my attention. Thanks Mikey for input.

You would do FINE with CS2. You'd probably do fine with CS or even PS7. All of these versions have what you need to do serious -arsed chopping.

BUT - If you are not too familiar with CS2 (which means you'll be on a learning curve with it) AND you can get (afford/steal) CS3 I'd suggest going the CS3 route. That way you have just one learning curve and you're up to date.

CS3 has some very nice features, like Non-Permanent filter appying, and a FABULOUS photo-merg rebuild, and fancier Perspective Cloning functions and .... well:

My main point is though, if you don't really know CS2 AND you can get CS3 - why go through the learning twice? Cut to the chase and get current if at all possible.
