I shot these hi res panoramas with my camera (3800*1228 pixels), I stitched them in photoshop, and they turned out great.. Thought I'd share them, enjoy the island of Milos!
1.
This is Tsigrado you can only climb down and its pretty steep, I busted my face on a rock looking for a cave here, 2 weeks ago!

2.
This happened last year at Sarakiniko, the Russian Carrier engines gave away and they drifted all the way here in a storm, slammed on the rock.. everyone survived!

3.
Here is the sunset from the the capitol city of Milos, called Plaka. Located on the top of the hill, this is the view from the town's biggest church, The Birth of Magdalene.

Those are cool shots, Sliver! The sunset one is SPECTACULAR!
And this is a cool idea for a thread. The new CS3 PANORAMA stitching capabilities is SO much better than the previous versions!
Here are some panos from my summer "micro-vacations" (mostly a day or two long).
1.
One of Canada's biggest forest fires happened about three years ago in the interior of British Columbia. This shot is from up the mountain looking over Okanagan Lake (that is Kelowna and area on the far shore) looking through the burnt out area. It is already turning green again, but the countless trees that lived here are kapoot!

2.
This is from the top of Vancouver's most favorite tourist mountain: Grouse Mountain. But this is after an hour hike where MOST of the tourists never go... looking northward into the area where (on the horizon where the snow capped mountains are) the 2010 Olympics will be happening.

3.
One of my favorite places in the summer! My good friend's place on Bown Island. Just a short 15 minute ferry ride from my home town of North Vancouver, this is a FABULOUS place to hang and recharge one's creative batteries! (I don't go there enough!)

(Damn - looking at these now, and then out my window at the approaching Winter clouds already arriving in the Vancouver area, I really wish that summer was about 11 months LONGER! )

Very nice Sliver, I especially like the 3rd one. My camera has a stitch feature built into it and I have yet to use it, haha. I will definitely be trying it out now because your panoramas are inspiring, yours too Reinman.

Reinman those are awesome! All have a superb sky, I like the 3rd one best! Great idea about the thread! I'll rename it now!

It is fun! You can turn a 4MegPix camera into a 16+MegPix! YAY!
For those who would like to try "stiching" and who don't have CS3 (cause, frankly, pre-CS3 PhotoMerge in photoshop tends to SUCK) I'm going to dig up an old expired bit of software call PhotoVista or some such thing... I'll put it up with a link so you can download it. It actually was my fave app for this stuff until CS3 came along.
Please stand by...

It's pretty easy to figure out (sorry, this was from my Pre-MAC time so it only works in the PC box )

Hah! Well, part of the "merging" process left a great big HOLE down there and I was not in the mood to spend much time filling it in - nor did I want to crop the picture much higher and loose the lower bottom middle section. SO - no nude bathing, just crappy cloning over a blank space.

Nice to see a part of Greece that isn't on fire.
I can't wait to take another trip there (will avoid Mykonos, this time).
Enjoyed the pics, Rein.
Love the Canadian wilderness.
If this is becoming a panorama thread, I'm going to get in on the action with a few of my own Canadian wilderness shots taken in Lake Louise, Alberta last winter.
Oh My Gawd.
Badcop is a CANUCK!!?!?!!????????
P.S. GREAT pics of one of the most beautiful areas in the world. The mountains between Alberta and British Columbia are studded with amazing places like that! Yay MOUNTIANS!!
