When I check the properties of the one on photobucket I see this size:
398.17 KB
and the PSC one is 360 something.
So, though I don't see anything visually different, they apparently are. Try changing the file name and uploading it again and then ctrl-f5 the page and the large size image too.

Do you get an error message or are you just not seeing the change? Are you certain you saved the new file in the same directory from which your are uploading? Try uploading a different picture then the new picture. Renaming as suggested.

I ain't seeing the change.. i've been trying to edit this before the contest even finished, and since then at least 7 times, changed name, done everything! Stubborn as a mule!

I opened your image in the link you gave above and the image in photoshop and there seems to be no difference, when I change from one page to the other, I can't see anything change on the screen, besides a slite lower fit on the page.

How much did you change in the image?

Have you tried replacing it with another completely different image that is 1280x960? I'm wondering whether something is going on with the size difference.
