iD LIKE TO Thank Lord im back on internet, i really thought it was the end....i would luv to know what happened but i couldnt connect for several days, and my neighbour that was back from his trip and that shares the connexion with me( i share wiyth him in fact) said that he saw a 3rd person that maybe uses the connection!!!! damn WIFI....i cant do that , i have the main box but its not exactly what we call a router....they can connect wifi on it tho i cant connect wifi on others, i use the ethernet...
Well each time i wante dto connect it didnt worked, and maybe it was because of this 3rd person that is not allowed to use my connection but makes interferences withg our connexion? is it possible?

well..if your wireless modem or router or whatever it is you use isn't secured then anyone in it's range can acces it me thinks..i can see my neighbours wireless connection on my pc..but can't acces it because they have secured it ..as i have done with mine... (i'm not an expert on this subject at all but that's what i guess is happening....)

Sorry about your connection Micose.....try setting the router up to only allow for 2 users. That way it will only put out for 2 addresses. You also can set it up to accept or connect to a couple of addresses. That way if it is not his..or your computer trying to connect it will not allow a unknown address to connect.

That may be the problem. If it's set to allow only 2 users and the other person got in there before you then it won't allow you in....kind of first come first served. I have mine secured like dot for the wifi. You can look if other people are connected to your connnection in the router site online. Before I secured mine my neighbor kid used to use our signal so I'd check and kick him off. Never told him and he couldn't say anything because he didn't want me to know The stupid games I play when I'm bored.
