Hello photoshoppers!
I've been looking for a cloud tutorial on Good-tutorials, and I've found third tutorial on Good-tutorials (if you search for "clouds") very usable!
Take note that I cannot post links as a new member!
The problem is that I cant get my brush to look like the one in the tutorial no matter what I do. I've followed the instructions carefully, but I still don't get the same brush. Do anyone have any idea on how to obtain such a brush and which settings do I have to use?
Thanks!

Me again (Jepper-depper), with a new user but with the right email!
So you havent visited Good-tutorials[dot]com, searched for "clouds" and picked the third tutorial (Submitted by Adriart blog) as I told you? Since i'm new I cannot post links, so if you're kind you use a little bit of time a have a look at the tutorial.
The problem is that i cannot get my brush to look like his brush in the tutorial and therefore I can't even get started. I've played around with the brush settings, but its impossible, for me, to obtain settings that match the look of his brush. Not even the settings he tell me to use work out!
So do you or anyone else know how to obtain such a brush with "fading" sides as in the tutorial?

Thanks for the links, digitalpharaoh.
I can use a bit from those tutorials to create some clouds as I want them to look like. But still if anyone can answer me on the tutorial I explain about in my post can be done then I would really like to hear from you, because those clouds looks exactly how I want them to look!

Have you tried using the Brush Presets?
Use the 300px soft edge brush.
set the brush mode to Linear Dodge
also set the opacity to 10-30%
you can also tweak the brush
check shape dynamics, but leave it alone
then check other dynamics and change it so the opacity
is controlled by pen pressure.
also can create a texture brush with this one.
by turning off the above settings then adding the texture tab to the Brush Preset.
I use the cloud one thats just past the tire looking "herringbone" option.
Set it to Scale 96ish percent
then set that to color burn and a depth of 100%
also down at the bottom, check Smoothing.
then just downsize the brush as needed
I use that brush for fog, and clouds. Fun.

#splodge
Holy smoke that site sucks. My eyes hurts when i'm looking on the site. Very very bad setting and design.
#TheShaman.
I've done what the tutorial says, but that cant do. Other people complain about the same problem like me in the comments section.
But thanks for your little "guide". I'll try that out in the school tomorrow in the design lessons.

take a photo of a cloud, turn to b/w, then "edit/define brush", you're done
