Your mom looked very pretty, but I have two things for you, that may even make your picture look better.
First of all, you can try to use hue scale to dull down the pink a little. Perhaps when you do, you will find that the second part of my things has improved as well.
Working on an image also changes the colours of the teeth and the white of the eyes. On my computer screen (!!!) the white of the eyes has too much of the green colour of they irish in it, and the colour of the lips is allright, but the teeth should get a little attention.
I worked on an image of a sailor in a forum here at one time, and had the same problem. I made a copy of the image, lightened that untill the eyes and the teeth looked good and clooned these parts onto a layer above the first image.
Even when you think originally that the teeth are too white at this point, with the use of the transparency (opacity) you can tone that down again.
That's how I did it.
