Here's a question for you fellows born and raised in an English-speaking country and perhaps a degree or two in English: Wink

- Can the word "corrosion" be written like this in a poetical sort of way:
"Joe was corrosioned by the laws of the government" ?

Just curious/Swedish.... Smile

No. The correct word would be "corroded".
...I think.

Wrong word!

It should be 'Corrupted'

Do look up the meaning of both Corroded and corrupted

In law, the word 'corrupted' has more meaning in the
halls of the 'Old Bailey' to most 'silks'

Ah but "corrupted" and "corroded" have different meanings so it would depend on the intent of the author's context. That said I agree with you that corrupted would sound better and make more sense. Laughing

Well, that all depends on what he is saying. "Corrupted" is a totally different word, even if they sound sort of similar...Someone, in a sense, could be "corroded" by the laws of the government, meaning they've been broken down, tired and worn out. Corrupted has a totally different meaning than that.
