O.K. I'm back from Japan!
Happy to be around here again!
I had a fish-rice-noodles overdose! The food was always fresh & super good... I was just tired of eating rice & fish for breakfast...
So, I'm sharing some pictures...
At Narita.
Emi at hospital. She spent 9 days in that bed...
My daughter Karine with her cousins Haruka & Yuna.
Shibuya. This is the world's busiest street. 3 millions pedestrians & vehicles are crossing that street everyday.
A cosplay at Harajuku.
I don't know why but I like this picture. In a Tokyo train station, coming back from Tokyo Disneyland Resort.
Some friends...
The Great Buddha of Kamakura is a bronze statue. It is believed that it was originally cast in 1252.
The statue was built inside a wooden temple but that building washed away in a tsunami in 1498.
Kamakura's temple. It was at the end of the day... very quiet...
The view from our room at Izukyu Hotel. The tiny black dots in the ocean were surfers. It was off-season
and a Thursday... I can't imagine how crowdy this beach is in holidays.
Surfers are mostly using bikes... no Jeep & pick-up trucks.
5:30AM. Surfing at Shimoda.
Shimoda is a city & port. In the 1850's, Japan was in political crisis over the issue of what relations, if any,
it should have with foreign powers. This port was the first to open to American trade in 1854.
Back with some other pictures later...
