May I just bring to everyones attention, as I think I and other have said before, but it never took off or went any further.
I think August 30th should be Doctor Wu Day in remembrance each yeah as it is nearly 2 years since he passed away on this day.
I do not know if it is just weird coincidence, or planned, but the source for the 30th is a crane type bird, and one of Dr Wu's most famous images is indeed this one I think nearly all of us know:
I do not know if it is too late, but I suggest the 30th become a free image day, like a permanent reunion contest.
We have sporadic reunion comp if at all, and this would be I think a worthy day and reason to bring all PSC's old, current and new together. Especially in a time were the community seem to be at one of its lowest ebbs for some time.
What says you.

ok so it is not exactly the same bird, but seriously, its a bit spooky the similarity, I mean its not like it is a Robin  anyways, back to what people think of the idea

I think it's a great idea, Dr. Wu was one of our classiest, talented members. I understand his family took great comfort in the images we posted, and the forum comments that were made prior to and after his death.
Does anyone have a contact with his family? If we do this, it would be nice if they would know.

I am all in for wu day and this site really does seem to mean a lot to his family.
My question is about free image day remember I am still a newbe or FNG as we call it in the Army. Does this mean we submit any image we have chopped and does not have to have that days source
