So I entered the annual Crestock photoshop competition. It closes in a couple of days, and my ego would be soothed by having a couple more encouraging comments and votes.

Not that I hold out much hope of winning against the 360-odd other entries this week, but the pain of not having a new computer would be eased...
Since I know it's not really cricket to ask for this sort of thing, feel free to tear it apart if you feel so inclined. Or rip me a new one for asking.

I took part last year.

Wasn't satisfied with voting system either. That's more a community challenge than a real photoshop contest. A lot of cheating and wining (I was one of the wining guys^^). Prizes are to high and the voting system is to poor to become a fair contest.
Sorry I can't vote, cause I won't open a new account there.
Cheers BL

Thanks bug. Nice image, by the way! And I like your comments on the voting. This year they claim to have dumped or sidelined the public voting for just the reasons you mention - and hired a bunch of 'impartial judges'... it will be interesting to see how that pans out.

I also entered the Crestock Challenge this year. A lot of good entries, but I do agree that the voting hardly gives anyone a chance.

Wow didn't thought crestock could learn by their faults. That don't means I'll change my opinion ^^ Anyway thx for that info.
Cheers BL

Hey MC,
I will go vote and comment on your entry. I love it! The voting system is really wack and the layout of the site sucks so it's painful to go through and look at all the entries. I have been looking for yours and Heinleins, and Kinetics but it takes so long I gave up.
Here is my entry

I totally agree, nat. Mind you, some of the pix at full resolution are awesome. I wonder how PSC would cope with 350 entries in each comp?

Thanks BL. Here's hoping. I feel great when I look at the crappy entries, and totally depressed when I look at the professional ones ... sigh...

Thanks.
Proc should hold a contest here with the prize is a brand new Macbook Pro. That would be nice.
Maybe he could get Apple to sponsor it.
Hey, you never know.
