Anyone into DJ'ing? I don't mean like super serious but maybe on the side to relax now and again or you do some house parties or you've done a few clubs in your area?

I work in a Radio company here in London and because it's radio company they usually do like staff events and I did my first "1 hour" gig where I just got on and played some selected tracks - was pretty fun and the crowd enjoyed it and I'm considering trying to learn more about it

But not on any super DJ level style like Daft Punk or something - I just got some hip hop songs and basically played them - but rare one's and mixes

Anyone into that kind of stuff here?

I am a bit...but it's been ages since I've actually done it. Pretty fun. And if you can get a good groove going...and the crowd picks up on that...THAT is what makes it REALLY fun.

Did you use actual turntables or a CD mixer or an MP3 mixer?

It seems to be difficult to play hip-hop music .Very Happy fortunately I don't have to play this style here because the people around here prefer the house and trance more than anything. but i guess we can share our experience .

Well the funny thing is, when we talk about DJ's on a professional level it's usually this house/trance/techno type of stuff - they make up their own tunes etc

I'm no where near on that level and I'm just talking about it on a casual level

Literally I get some tunes, popular one's from Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, Eminem, etc etc even Britney Spears and mix them up and play them out

Commercial stuff that everyone knows the words too and can dance too but mix them up and it was really fun
