Congratulations, Delia! Once you go Mac, you'll never go back.
Well, rarely, anyway.

I went back, but only because PC's are dirt cheap.

That is AWESOME!
You will love it.
I still have the old displays and they are still going strong.
I think MAC's are great. You'll really like the 24'' screen and and it a few weeks you'll wonder how you ever did with out it!
Congrats!

Congratulations Delia. Never did this myself, so don't ask me how, but you should be able to run your copy of Photoshop for Windows on your iMac, by first installing Windows using Boot Camp (which came with your Mac) at start up to run Windows and your copy of Photoshop.
Or you can run Windows simultaneously inside the Mac OS using commercial software like Parallels.

Yes, my iMac runs XP better than my old PC tower ran it.
I was a PC dude for a decade and a half, and swore I'd never go to MAC. But then VISTA appeared and I knew it was time to change. About two years ago I switched, spent about 2 weeks feeling disoriented but then it was NO TURNING BACK, I loved my MAC. So... welcome to the OTHER side. You can check out any time you like, but you can NEVER leave.

Congrats, I'm a mac head myself with a brand new MacBook Pro at work with a 24 " external monitor. iMac at home. Both run VMFusionware for Windows, which I use mostly for Microsoft Outlook, etc. Use the mac for everything else.
ENJOY!

Thanks, Tarmac, re: boot camp info. I'll have to check it out!
