Thanks RR!
So I worked on some angles and around feet. Also I think the hand shadow was a bit too stretched... ... little details like that. Maybe not perfect... is it better?

Feet are planted on the ground. 
I like the shad on the back leg. 
I don't know what I was thinking with the shadow angle coming off that front leg.  Much better.

To answer your question Tony, I'm surely more a git than a Jesus.
And the fact that I'm not Jesus, I can't go back in time... I'm really sorry!

Cool! It's great to see that even the gurus learn a thing or two from each other now and then.

Sometimes you just need a second pair of eyes to look at something that you are burnt out on. I knew I did the feet wrong right after I posted it, I just missed it. I knew better than to put that angle on the shadow coming off the front leg but I completely missed it too. It is always good to have someone to bounce stuff off of just to help you see things that you may have overlooked.

The shadow, as if cast by a theatrical spotlight, seems too sharp for the overall lighting in the scene, which suggests more diffused light sources. I would blur the heck out of it

'Contextually' is the key here. I knew it was you.
A disaster for you is still generally half-decent.

I also took into account the lighting on the source glove (from above)

Yes vokaris. Better that way. 
I came back with some small adjustments near the feet... I think it was a bit too blury for this small portion... it needs a soft fade between sharp & blur.
