This really is the most shocking and sadest of news 
Jerry was a true gentleman, a great guy and put a lot into this site. He used a sometimes forgotten art of near perfect PS skills of good qaulity lighting and basic but precise editing to make the most boring source come to life again.
He will be missed, I will miss him.
My thoughts are with his friends and family.

Yeah Jerry was the king of improving the lighting, color, and overall quality of a source image and was always a nice guy around here, that is really harsh news. My condolences to his family.

this is really sad.
Jerry was a great guy and was the master of color correction. I learned a lot about color matching from him.
He will be sorely missed.
I extend my prayers and condolences to his family.

I logged on today, and the first thing I did was respond to an old thread that was dug up, and Jerry had posted in it.
Of all the thousands of people that have passed through this place, he's one of only a handful that I knew I could horse around with, and give a hard time, and he'd know that I was playing.
He always responded with these outrageous comebacks that would have me literally in tears w/ laughter.
I've never spoken to anyone else who so thoroughly integrated old fashioned professional graphics, and photography techniques with the advantages of the digital dark room.
I wish I had more than just my condolences. We'll have you in our prayers Peggy.

I never really knew him, but i do remember his work.
In fact how can you forget his work (Class)
He will be sadly missed.
My best wishes to his family and all who knew him.
