Not my taste. I do like that all them of have the same style. Out of the ones you have posted I like the fish one best.
I was thinking of trying an all vector entry but I would not be able to put the artistic spin on it like yours.
I did not get a lot of micose's and anabe's work when I first joined and even now I still don't get most of it but every once in awhile I will see one of theirs that is so amazing I can't stop looking at it I will even put it as my desktop. I am sure that people with a trained eye see most of their work this way.
I am hoping that it is an acquired taste like scotch, beer, wine, cigars and coffee.
to where one day you want more and more and can understand and admire all the subtle complexities.
So I will follow your work. If that is your style and what you want to be known for then keep at it and don't give up.

thanks for the feedback so far. I need it, because I am afraid, I lost myself a bit inside this new phantastic world, kind of being in love, unable to esteem the results objectively.

i really liked your chops for the artistic part. they are really interesting and made me wonder how you got there from the source.
but maybe it's going too far from the source....
i don't mind chops that has no source (usually they are the most creative) but at least they have parts that has a distinctive look of the source (or parts of it).
that's just my opinion, and i still though they are vote-worthy because they are all very creative.....

All of these entries remind me of 50's and 60's paperback covers for old detectives. And as such they would do very nicely.

Your new style is creative, and in curious ways forces the mind look for similar shapes within the source. As long as you choose four color palettes that are from the source itself, I think you'll be OK. However choosing a four color palette that is alien to the source, even though it might be pleasant to look at, is maybe moving too far away from what it once was. For example:

Your onto some sort of simplification style that I really like, and would be sad if you gave it up due to esteem issues. Keep plugging away at it.

I think that if you are letting yourself get into what you are doing, and are open to it leading you into something else
that could conceivably become a hit, or lead to a new personal style, that you are acting like a total idiot allowing folks on this site the opportunity to tune in, and smother your motivation.
Forget this thread. delete your posts in it, and just leave this thread.
I don't know what you're thinking.
One last positive critique before you go.
I think you ARE onto something. I think you need TIME, and
more works to allow it to develop, and i think you may very well find yourself exceptionally happy with where this leads.
Now take my advice, and don't sit here waiting for someone to shit on you.

I really like the styl, it takes a minute to see where you got the shapes from in the source, but thats a good thing as it draws you into the picture.
Keep it up its cool.
