Alaska is gorgeous.
I used to live in Anchorage. There were mountains in every direction and moose in my back yard. Enjoy your trip!

Hopefully you won't see any sea-moose.

Well, I've never been on a cruise and don't know how steady your stomach is, but I have been on boats enough to know that I get sea-sick pretty easily. I also get motion sickness in cars and buses as well. Went to Spain recently so was on planes, boats, buses a lot. If you're sensitive at all, try these:
http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jsp?CATID=100105&navAction=jump&navCount=0&id=prod2662944#
I wore them nearly the whole time. Only had one wave of nausea that lasted maybe 20 seconds the whole trip.

I did that cruise on Royal Caribbean thru the Inside Passage and it was fantastic!!!
The food on the ship is really good, free drinks and a casino.
We took a scenic plane ride thru the inside passage and a train ride to BC. Those two excursions were so worth the extra money.
You will have a most excellent time!!

How wacky! Have a great trip!
I, too, am doing an Alaskan cruise next month. Big sales on now, and the father-in-law is kicking in some to help too.
So you'll have to give ME some tips when you are back, brother! Let me know if you were feeding your lunch to the fishes a lot or not.
Bone Voyage!

I've been to Valdez and Prince William Sound before, which were both really cool. If you get a chance you should go inland. A 2:00 AM sunrise on the Alaska Range while traveling the Denali Highway is one of the prettiest sights I have ever seen.
