out of nowhere my cursors have changed from the the little pen tool icon and the circle for the brush etc to this little cross hair that I can't see. I went to the cursor preference page fooled around with that (nothing works) restarted. I still got the little cross hairs (precision). I need help. Any ideas. I'm using CS2

You could try resetting your preferences, this has helped with weird problems that I have encountered in the past. (An old tip I learned from vokaris).

Hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Options+shift (Mac) while launching Photoshop. A prompt will ask if you want to delete the preferences file. Click Yes.
