Hello !

I'm looking for a good tutorial or help on creating abstract curves. Or maybe it can also be described as a twisted grid with thin lines.

I found an image that looks similar to what i would like to create here:
http://www.canstockphoto.com/abstract-curves-0167524.html
and here
http://www.canstockphoto.com/abstract-curves-0167518.html

I hope you understand what I mean. Can this be done in PS or is this more like Illustrator work
Thanks in advance for any tips.

Perhaps you could make a series of straight parallel lines and then use the Warp tool to bend the lines as a whole into curves.

Thanks Glenn & Wiz.
The tutorial is exactly what I was looking for. Already thought it was more like an illustrator thing. If it's possible in PS i'm still interested, but for now i'll try the tutorial

I had seen this one awhile back - great site for tuts!
http://www.layersmagazine.com/blend-tool-backgrounds.html
This is a video, short ad first, then it starts. Wink

This starts out in Illustrator, then brings it into photoshop to add effects.

That one mentioned at vectips looks great, too, a bit different. Thanks for sharing...
yet another site bookmarked for shiny tutorials! Laughing

Thanks pearlie, nice video. For too long I was trying to work this out in photoshop with pen tools, line curves etc. The blend en blend options in Illustrator are so easy and powerful to use.
